About The Course
The Par-71 golf Course at Golden Sands in Cecil WI Measures over 6100 yards from the blue tees. Our Course Opened for play in 1970 by the Wallrich Family. Later Purchased By Jim Acker, Linc Lautenbach, Jim Slatky, and Larry Klement. In 2024 Jim Acker and his two sons, Austin and Zach Acker, purchased the course from the other partners. We can’t thank the past partners enough for the support and job they did during tenure. A special thank you to Linc and Liz for their job getting the course to the conditions and beauty it truly has become. Jim is the General Manger, Austin manages the Proshop and is the area’s top club fitter. Zach is the Superintendent of the beautiful course and takes pride in his kitchen roles as well.
Practice Facilities
We also feature a large practice range. At Golden Sands you’ll find many hitting stations at our range to ensure you’ll have ample space with which to practice your swing. Be sure to warm-up at our practice range before you hit the course, and contact Jim, Austin, or Wayne to schedule a lesson.
